Repairs Damaged Teeth Beautifully

At Dental Care of Chino Hills, we want your smile to be a source of confidence and joy. When cosmetic concerns get in the way of that goal, we are here to help. Our custom-made dental veneers offer flexible ways to enhance your smile, from covering stains to reshaping your teeth.

What Are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are ultra-thin, yet hard, shells placed directly over the tooth. Each shell is manufactured specifically for the patient’s individual needs and goals. From the moment they are placed over the tooth, they transform a patient’s smile radically. At the same time, we ensure they look natural.

Who Can Benefit From Porcelain Veneers?

Many patients know about how veneers can cover up teeth stains. But their benefits extend to a range of other concerns. Most patients can benefit from veneers in at least one of the following ways:

  • Covering stains or discoloration on teeth
  • Addressing concerns with tooth shape
  • Filling gaps between front teeth
  • Restoring a chipped or damaged tooth
  • Improving a gummy smile

How to Get Dental Veneers

  • Consultation: We start by taking the time to match patients with the right treatment for their needs, budget, and goals. Ask any questions, explore alternative solutions, and build your tailored plan for restoring your smile.
  • Preparation: We will need to remove part of the tooth’s enamel so the veneer will sit flush with your tooth. This part may feel a little odd, but it should not cause any pain.
  • Impressions: Impressions allow us to build a model of your teeth. Our lab technicians then use this to create veneers that mold perfectly to your teeth.
  • Placement: Once the veneers arrive, you can return for your fitting and placement. After confirming the veneers match your expectations and fit properly, we will permanently affix them over the tooth. By the time you leave the office, your smile will be totally transformed.

FAQs

Does the procedure hurt?

As with all our dental treatments, we take every precaution to ensure a pain-free visit. Dental veneers prove no exception. Our dentist uses care and precision to ensure a gentle treatment and a positive visit. Some patients may have mild sensitivity to treated teeth afterward, but this usually fades within a few weeks.

How long do dental veneers last?

Most patients will have veneers that stay looking great for 10 years. Though thin, veneers provide surprising durability and long-term benefits. The type of material also influences how long a veneer can last. Our most popular material, porcelain, provides an optimal balance of durability. Additionally, a patient’s dental care and oral health will impact how long veneers last. Good habits and well-maintained oral health will contribute to longer-lasting results. Some patients even manage to make their veneers last well over 20 years.

How do I care for my treated teeth?

Veneer maintenance is exactly the same as caring for your other teeth. Brush attentively and carefully, floss daily, and stick to routine dental visits. With veneers, you do want to remain mindful when eating hard foods. Biting down too strongly on too hard of a food item may damage older veneers or veneers made of more fragile materials.

Are dental veneers right for me?

Veneers best suit patients who want a long-term solution but are prepared for a couple of visits to our office. However, we know each patient has unique expectations and needs. We also offer other treatments such as:

  • Dental Crowns: Best for restoring severely damaged teeth. These tooth-shaped caps are placed over a worn, damaged tooth.
  • Dental Bonding: Quick, same-day results that can address many of the same concerns as veneers can. However, the results are shorter-lived.
  • Teeth Whitening: Good for patients who want to address only tooth stains or discoloration.

How much do veneers cost?

The cost of veneers will depend on the material used and any prep work needed. During your consultation, we can break down each element of the price with clear, detailed information. Insurance companies generally do not cover veneers, as they count as cosmetic treatments.
What veneer material is best?
Veneers come in several available materials. Ceramic, metal, composite resin, and porcelain are among the most common. Each material has benefits and limitations, but most patients choose porcelain veneers. This material allows for very thin shells that yet demonstrate great durability.

Testimonials

Dr. Changela is an excellent dentist. He explained very detail before any treatments. I have a lot of dental work done. He will not do unnecessary work just to get pay. The office is very clean, the wait time is very minimal. My husband and I have seen Dr. Changela for over 4 years, and we are very happy with him.
